Concept
Thousands of car owners misfuel their vehicle every year. Fuel Hero is a mechanically simple solution that fits into the diesel tank of any older car and physically prevents the possibility of misfueling your car with petrol. The idea was conceived by KKN udvikling and was targeted towards both private car owners but also rental companies for whom misfueling is a major concern.
My role
I was brought into the project to mature the product from the first prototype onto a more market ready concept. The primary challenge was to design Fuel Hero in a way that it could universally fit a range of different car brands. I did field testing, 3D modelling and prototype manufacturing of a dozen of new iterations to improve the design.
