Concept

Wakeys is a keyboard designed to ease the process of learning to play piano. The LED keys light up to guide the user through any pre-selected song, and resets upon faulty plays. The product that is made of laser-cut wood, 3D printed keys and powered by an Arduino with a set of stereo speakers, was made during the DTU course Design of Mechatronics during June 2015.

My role

Along with my fellow group members we worked through the entire process of ideation, testing-and selection of components, prototype manufacturing, wiring the circuits and programming the logic within a tight 3 week period.

KEY LEARNINGS

Mechatronic Design
Rapid prototyping
